Open Call Accelerating Resilient Food Systems in Africa (ARFSA) Programme

Are you part of a project that is focused on increasing food security in developing countries? Would you like to use your knowledge and expertise to accelerate resilient food systems in Africa? The application period will soon open for the Accelerating Resilient Food Systems in Africa (ARFSA) program, led by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). By improving productivity, building resilience, and fostering inclusive value chains, ARFSA aims to empower farmers, drive economic growth, and ensure food security in Africa.

- ARFSA promotes partnerships with civil society organizations, businesses, and knowledge institutes to build resilient food systems in Africa and Yemen.
- These partnerships are expected to implement project activities that specifically target food-insecure individuals and producers.
- The activities should prioritize smallholder farmers and farmer households, with a particular emphasis on women and youth.
- The programme has one call with a total budget of 12 million euros. Per project, the minimum subsidy amount is 1 million euros, and the maximum amount is 2 million euros.
- For each business in the partnership, a maximum subsidy of €500,000 is available. The subsidy percentage depends on the type of organisation:
- For civil society organisations and knowledge institutes: a maximum of 100% subsidy;
- For businesses: a maximum of 50% subsidy.
