The Global Partnership for the True Price of Food joined the CGIAR science week!
CGIAR is a global research partnership for a food-secure future dedicated to transforming food, land, and water systems in a climate crisis. The science week brings together scientists and decision-makers from around the world to advance research and innovation, inspire action, and establish critical partnerships. We hosted a side session that introduces the True Price methodology and showcases examples of true pricing applications through our co-hosts ILRI and GAIN.
After True Price Foundation dove into the True Price methodology, ILRI explained how they use insights from true pricing analyses in coffee and livestock to inform national policy for food system transformation, while GAIN expanded on our joint ambition to develop a methodology that quantifies and monetises health costs of national food baskets.
