Are you active in agriculture, agrologistics and/or agroforestry? And are you curious about business opportunities in Mozambique? Then join the Agri Trade Mission to Mozambique from 25 to 28 November.

Mozambique has a lot to offer business-wise.

  • The country has a good location on the Indian Ocean. Companies can transit goods through Mozambique to western Africa. Especially as investments in roads and railways are increasing.
  • Mozambique has many natural resources such as critical raw materials, earth metals, green energy sources and gas reserves.
  • This East African country has a lot of fertile farmland suitable for many different crops.
  • There are different climate zones within the country's borders. There are plenty of water resources.
  • The country has a large and young labour force.
  • In recent years, the government has changed legal rules to make international business easier. For instance, there is a visa waiver for doing business.

Mozambique offers business opportunities for:

  • The seeds sector
  • Agrologistics
  • Poultry
  • Agroforestry

Mozambique also offers opportunities for innovative agricultural techniques and sustainable production methods.

Dutch companies can help develop the infrastructure and logistics of the agribusiness sector in Mozambique. They can transfer their knowledge on irrigation, breeding and sustainable cultivation.

RVO offers mission participants a tailor-made programme. This programme will consist of the following general components:

  • Company and field visits
  • Networking events
  • Individual matchmaking
  • Local support by the mission organisation
  • Local transport (linked to the mission programme)

During the mission, you will learn more about the latest developments in the agricultural sector. You may also meet important Mozambican cooperation partners.

The mission starts on Monday 25 November in the capital Maputo. The rest of the mission will take place in the Beira corridor, in the provinces of Sofala and Manica. This is the country's main agricultural region. The mission ends in Beira on 28 November. You can extend the mission in that city until 29 November.

On 26 September, there will be an information meeting in the Netherlands about this mission. The Dutch ambassador to Mozambique will also be present.
