Learning event: Supporting young agripreneurs to access youth-friendly financial products

What?

Access to finance has been identified by members of the CoP Youth Agripreneurship as a key challenge impacting young entrepreneurs in agriculture. By joining forces, the Youth Agripreneurship and Food Systems Finance CoPs aim to foster a rich, collaborative discussion that brings together insights from both youth-driven agripreneurship initiatives and financial institutions actively supporting young agripreneurs.

Guided by the overarching learning question how can different actors support young agripreneurs to access youth-friendly financial products, we will:

• Learn about effective financing models to enable young agripreneurs to access capital - by Edson Mpyisi Rurangwa - Chief Agricultural Economist and Coordinator of ENABLE Youth at African Development Bank
• Dive into supporting strategies that prepare young agripreneurs to access youth-friendly financial products - by SNV Zambia
• Identify opportunities for collaboration between financial service providers and youth-focused support programs.
• Articulate shared learning questions and priorities for further exploration.

This event is ideal for CoP Youth Agripreneurship members, professionals, financial service providers and youth representatives from the Netherlands and LMICs, and all those who support youth agripreneurship initiatives and their networks.
