Spotlight on CGIAR's 2025 - 2030 Research Portfolio
The Netherlands Food Partnership is pleased to highlight CGIAR’s newly launched 2025-2030 Research Portfolio, which builds on its 2030 Strategy with a more streamlined and focused approach. With a reduced number of entry points compared to the 2022-2024 Portfolio, CGIAR’s offer becomes easier to understand, communicate, and fund, ensuring greater clarity and accessibility for partners and stakeholders.
This Portfolio brings together expertise from CGIAR’s Research Centers to address critical global challenges, including climate change, gender inequality, poor-quality diets, rural poverty, and environmental degradation. A continued emphasis on gender and social inclusion research is embedded throughout, underscoring the importance of equity in achieving sustainable outcomes.
By integrating insights into major trends like demographic shifts, changing consumption patterns, and emerging technologies, the Portfolio provides a comprehensive response to the evolving needs of food systems. It is structured around eight Science Programs, a Scaling for Impact Program, and three Accelerators, all designed to work synergistically to foster innovation and impact.
The Portfolio reflects input from a wide network of partners, ensuring alignment with local, regional, and global priorities. It builds on decades of impactful work while simplifying pathways for collaboration and funding.
Explore the programs and accelerators driving the future of sustainable food systems and discover opportunities to contribute to this vital work. If you're looking to connect with or navigate within CGIAR, the Netherlands Food Partnership is here to help you identify the right entry points.
